Hudson - “Women Reaching Women” welcomes breast cancer patients & survivors- 1st Monday of every month 6:30-8:00PM at CMH Administration Building, Room 5100, 70 Prospect Ave, Hudson.  This group is facilitated by the American Cancer Society.  Call Dee: 454-4006.

2nd Monday

Valatie - For adults with various types of cancer- 2nd Monday of every month 7:00PM at Barnwell Nursing Home, Conference Room.   This is an informal, peer-supported group with cancer survivors that offers strategies for coping with illness through sharing of personal experiences.  Call Irene at: 758-9285.


Valatie 2 - “Look Good-Feel Better” offers free consultations that show female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.  2nd Monday of every  month AS NEEDED at St. John’s Baptist Church.  Participants receive beauty kits valued at $200.

3rd Monday

Cairo - For breast cancer patients and survivors:  Meets the 3rd Monday of every month 6:00 - 7:30pm in the Cairo Town Hall Courtroom, 512 Main Street, Cairo.  Facilitated by Breast Cancer Options.  Call: 845-339-HOPE.

2nd Tuesday

Hudson - Ostomy support group- 2nd Tuesday of every month 1:00PM at the St. Mary’s school.  East Allen Street.  Provides ostomates and their family members with helpful information about ostomy care and the latest equipment and appliances available.  Guest speakers present on various health related topics.  Contact Kathreen McDonald at 828-0506.


3rd Tuesday

Ghent - For adults with various types of cancer- 3rd Tuesday of every month at varying locations.  This is an informal, peer-supported group with cancer survivors that meets for dinner & conversation.  Call Bootie: 392-4805.

1st Wednesday

Chatham - Welcomes breast cancer patients and survivors-1st Wednesday of every month 6:00 -7:30pm in St. James Church Library.  This group is facilitated by Breast Cancer Options.  Call: 845-339-HOPE (4673).


1st Thursday

Palenville - For breast cancer patients and survivors: Meets the 1st Thursday of every month 6:00-7:30PM at the Palenville Branch Library, 3335 Route 23A,  Facilitated by Breast Cancer Options.  Call: 845-339-HOPE.
