A long term cancer illness can cause financial hardships to an individual or family.  Co-payments, inability to work, lack of insurance, increased travel expenses, all have a significant impact on healthcare decisions and household budgets.

The Community Cancer Fund is available for COLUMBIA and GREENE county residents who need financial assistance due to a cancer diagnosis as well as uninsured residents in need of diagnostic testing for cancer. 

The Greene County Community Cancer Fund and the Columbia County Community Cancer Fund are made possible by annual "Walking with our Neighbors for our Neighbors" fundraising events.  Events are organized by Healthcare Consortium staff and caring community volunteers in both counties.  Every dollar raised in Columbia County STAYS in Columbia County to help our neighbors in need of financial support.  It's the same for Greene County as well-every dollar raised in Greene County STAYS there to help Greene County residents in need.
