The program offers coordinated services to address the physical, emotional and financial needs of crime victims and their families. The program is designed to ease a victim’s fear and confusion in dealing with the court process.

Crime Victim's Protection. Personal property lost or destroyed during a crime can be reimbursed if it is necessary to maintain a victim’s health and welfare. Call New York State Crime Victims Board for information.

Older New Yorkers face an array of problems which have a potential for abuse including: alcoholism, anxiety, consumer fraud and abuse, dementia, depression, financial abuse, grief, mental health problems, suicide and tenants’ rights. The New York State Office for the Aging works with local offices for the aging and other state and local agencies to educate seniors and their families in preventing elder abuse, neglect and exploitation.
