The Office for the Aging contracts with the Workforce Investment Office at Columbia-Greene Community College (CGCC) to provide subsidized, part-time employment and training opportunities for low income persons 55 years and older. Referrals to other employment programs at Columbia-Greene Community College and the Green Thumb Program are also provided.

Part-time volunteer opportunities for low-income people age 60 and older to provide supportive person-to-person services to frail and developmentally disabled adults who need to maintain or achieve new levels of independent living. Senior companions receive a stipend, meals and assistance in transportation.
