Fire Pro Check An on-site fire safety audit/survey for seniors (living alone or couples) conducted by volunteer retired firemen and women auxiliary members. They will help to educate; graphically demonstrate on premises and explain fire safety and prevention for those seniors over 60 who live alone or in couples, in either owned or rented houses. Fire Pro Check is especially directed to those seniors who are more isolated, who may not get out as often because they either do not drive, cannot drive, or drive infrequently. These retired RSVP Firemen and women's auxiliary members will work in tandem and by appointment only. Referrals for the fire safety survey/audit should come from the Columbia County Office for the Aging, Columbia County Department of Social Services, churches and synagogues, and outreach professionals. Referrals are then sent to the RSVP Office. |
