Columbia County Department Of Social Services The Food Stamps Program provides monthly benefits that help low-income households buy the food they need for good health. The amount of food stamps a household may receive is based on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Thrifty Food Plan, which is an estimate of how much it actually costs to provide a household with nutritious, but inexpensive meals. |
