ALBANY St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center provides for the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the cancer patient and their families. Our comprehensive program begins with prevention and detection. We follow through with diagnosis, treatment, follow up, and continuing care. Since 1985 nearly 15,000 people have been diagnosed, treated, or cared for at St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center. St. Peter’s has been approved as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer since 1988. In 1997, the Commission on Cancer granted a 4-year approval to the program, indicating that the St. Peter Cancer Care Center demonstrates compliance with all mandatory standards for organizational and operational elements. Cavell Center Treatment Program Through New York Hematology-Oncology, the Cavell Center offers cancer research and research protocols, chemotherapy treatments, clinical research trials, diagnostic x-rays, financial counseling, gynecological oncology, growth factor therapy, hydration therapy, laboratory services, and oncological nursing, services, physician medical oncology services, physician medical hematology services, physician medical radiation services, radiation therapy treatment, stem cell program, and supportive medication and other infusion therapies. Women’s Health Center of Columbia Memorial Hospital Columbia Memorial Hospital Oncology Care Center Healthy People Partnership KINGSTON Women’s Care Center Benedictine Hospital Benedictine Hospital is a Community Cancer Hospital, one of only a few designated as such by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The designation is awarded to hospitals which offer a higher level comprehensive care. Services include a multi-specialty, team approach to the coordination of care, a tumor registry which collects data on type and stage of cancers and treatment results, lifelong patient follow-up, information about on-going cancer clinical trials and new treatment options, specially trained and certified staff, weekly case conference and sophisticated treatment options. The oncology unit consists of 21 beds in the SMC wing of the building.
