Local attorneys can offer guidance in matters relating to:
Health Care Proxy – a designated person (or persons) assigned to make health care decisions on behalf of another person in the event they can not do so.
Living Will – stipulates the medical treatment desired in given circumstances. This usually comes into effect when a person is terminally ill (with less than 6 months to live).
Power of Attorney – allows a designated person to make decisions for another in legal and financial matters, but not in health care decisions.
Check the local telephone directory for contact information regarding an attorney.
